Villa Uma derives its name from another word in Bahasa, sawah and signifies the goddess who guards the rice field. The villa stands today on an ancient, blessed land that has gifted many a fine harvest to the villagers for years and you can see several rice fields in the distance. The blessings continue as the sanctimonious villa yields bounties of joy to all those who inhabit it.
The sea view and sunrise here is spectacular and the sunset behind the volcanoes of Java from the gazebo on the top defies all expectations. Located close to the restaurant and spa, this 2 bedroom villa with a private pool and outdoor showers is a dream come true.

HOW TO GET THERE
We can arrange your transport from the airport or your hotel and drive you to Sumberkima Hill. The cost for a pick up from the airport is RP 960,000 for 4 people and luggage and IDR 1,020,000-IDR 1,440,000 for 5-10 people with luggage. Transport will take approximately 4 hours depending on how busy it is in the south.
It is also possible to make a day trip with scenic stops along the way for IDR 1,080.000 with a car suitable for 4 people. Scenic stops can be for instance, at the twin lakes, the Temple Ulun Danu and the Munduk Waterfall.

Directions from the south.
Sumberkima Hill is on a side street of the coast road from Seririt to Gilimanuk.
It is about a 50 minutes drive from Seririt.
Closer to Sumberkima Hill:
After Pemuteran you cross a bridge to reach Sumberkima. After 400 meters you pass a small airfield on your right. Then after 500 meters you pass the Lpd bank on your left side. After 700 meters you will see a Sumberkima Hill sign on the right side of the road, indicating the exit is 650 meters away. There you will find signs on a pillar at the right side of the road directing you to a small side road up the hill on your left. Please take a left at that sign. You can follow the small signs after that.
Directions from Gilimanuk harbor.
If you arrive from the harbour, coming from Java (Ketapang), we can pick you up in Gilimanuk (Bali) approx. a 30-minute drive. Please note Bali time is one hour later compared to Java time. The cost for a pick up is IDR 360.000 for a car suitable for 4 people and luggage and IDR 600.000 for a car up to 10 people and luggage. It is also possible to get your own taxi at the harbour.

After a 20 minute drive from Gilimanuk towards Singaraja, you will reach Pejarakan village bypassing the Mimpi Resort Menjangan sign on your left.
After a 5 minutes drive from Pejarakan, you will reach Sumberkima Village.
After 900 meters you will see a Sumberkima Hill sign on the left side of the road, indicating the entrance is 650 meters away. There you will find signs on a pillar on the left side of the road directing you to a small side road up the hill on your right. Please take a right at that sign. You can follow the small signs after that.

Sumberkima Hill Guest Agreement
GENERAL
Sumberkima Hill is a private villa retreat where you can enjoy the privacy of your own villa, supported by a range of services. Unlike a standard resort, Sumberkima Hill feels more like a village. Each villa is unique and individually owned, and most come with a private pool. Some budget options share a communal pool. Please note that due to the individual ownership of villas, switching accommodations upon arrival is usually not possible.
BOOKING
The payment of the deposit confirms acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined below and shall be binding on all guests, whether or not a booking form is signed.
RATES
Rates are quoted per villa and are inclusive for all guests staying within the villa’s maximum capacity. Children up to 2 years of age stay free of charge when using a baby cot or sharing a bed with parents. Baby cots and a highchair are provided at no additional cost, subject to availability.
An extra bed may be added upon request at an additional charge.
All rates are in IDR and include government taxes and service fees. A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is payable on arrival by cash or card (Visa/Mastercard). Charges for on-site services are quoted in IDR.

Housekeeping Policy: To respect your privacy, housekeeping is only provided on request, free of charge. Please notify us one day in advance if you’d like our team to clean your villa. Service hours are between 08:00 AM and 15:00 PM.
If no request is made, our team will reach out after 5 nights to offer cleaning, fresh towels, or linen changes.
Excessive cleaning required upon departure may incur an additional fee.
Not included in the rate: - Beverages from the fridge/minibar - Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
CANCELLATION POLICY
• A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
• Cancellations made 60 days or more before arrival are fully refundable.
• Cancellations made within 60 days of arrival are non-refundable.
• Refunds will be processed upon request, with any applicable transfer fees deducted from the
refunded amount.

OCCUPANCY / NUMBER OF GUESTS
Guests must provide accurate information about the number of people staying in the villa. If more guests arrive than stated in the booking, Sumberkima Hill reserves the right to refuse entry or charge additional fees.
All guests must present valid ID or passports upon check-in for registration, as per local regulations.
COMPLAINTS
If you experience any issues during your stay, please contact our Front Office immediately so we can resolve the matter as soon as possible.
SOUND POLICY
Due to the hillside location, sound carries easily. Please be mindful of neighbors and keep noise to a minimum, especially in the evening and early morning.
NATURE & ENVIRONMENT
You are staying in a natural environment where insects and small animals like cicaks and geckos are part of the landscape.
The surrounding scenery will vary with the seasons — expect lush greenery during the rainy season (November to May) and drier landscapes from May to November.
ANIMAL VISITORS
As part of our natural setting, you may encounter harmless local cats, dogs, or chickens during your stay. They are friendly, part of the surrounding environment, and sometimes wander into villas or communal areas. If you prefer not to be visited, our team can help gently guide them away. We ask that guests treat all animals with kindness and respect. In most villas it is allowed to bring pets, but not all owners allow this. An additional fee for cleaning might apply.
DAMAGE, LOSS & THEFT
Guests are responsible for any damage to or removal of villa inventory during their stay. This includes, but is not limited to, furniture, decor, appliances, linens, and other items belonging to the villa.
Missing or damaged items may be charged after checkout.
We kindly ask guests to treat the villa and its contents with care and respect.
SAFETY & LIABILITY
Sumberkima Hill is located on a hillside in a rural environment with natural features, public village roads, and varying levels of height. While we take great care to provide a safe and well-maintained environment, guests remain fully responsible for their own safety, actions, and personal belongings during their stay.
Please exercise caution when using stairs, pools, paths, uneven ground, and other natural features, and take care when enjoying any of our facilities. Children must be supervised at all times.
By booking and staying at Sumberkima Hill, guests acknowledge and accept that Sumberkima Hill, its owners, and staff cannot be held liable for any injury, accident, illness, loss, or damage to persons or property, except in cases of proven gross negligence on our part.
Sumberkima Hill is not responsible for events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, power outages, or actions of third parties.

Fantastic View
The villas are exceptional with a dream view. I recommend Villa Uma which combines absolutely everything: sea view, mountain view, Ijen volcano view, sunset, a crazy combo. If, like us, you climb the Ijen volcano the night before, you will have experienced all the best that this area has to offer: climbing a volcano to see the blue fire phenomenon, sunrise from the summit of the volcano and sunset view of the same volcano, another crazy combo. The restaurants are also very nice and affordable.

Wow, you can only say that. We have lived like Queen and King. The large pool was of course the absolute highlight. You have many retreat options with the panoramic bed on the roof. It is a bit remote but has two local supermarkets on the way. Communication via chat is super easy and quick
Amazingly Best Place Ever Stayed
This was hands down the most amazing place we have ever stayed. We stayed for 7 days in Villa Uma which is right by the Suma Restaurant and has a private pool. We loved it so much we decided to stay another 4 days in another Villa. We had panoramic views of the bay and the Java mountains. The two restaurants Suma and Senja were amazing and really reasonable (cheap compared to AU standards) beautiful healthy food. Amazing spa treatments. The service was absolutely 5 star and the staff were wonderful. It’s quiet and far from the madding crowds here. We had several excursions to the snorkeling island and a tour around Sumberkima Bay.

Lovely stay!
Had a lovely stay, pool was the best we’ve had. All staff were lovely and helpful. The Villa was comfortable and clean. Complimentary use of shuttle was excellent, they were always on time. Restaurants were good, lovely ambience. Massages were lovely. We will be returning to this villa in the future.

I spent 3 amazing days with my family in Villa Uma. The villa and its pool are big, beautifully furnished and deeply enjoyable. The kids had the best time. Service was also top class, especially breakfast with sourdough bread at Suma restaurant. Don't miss this place if you come to North Bali!
Wonderful memories
Wonderful memories We stayed at Villa Uma - breathtaking view (volanoes and sea in front, rolling hills behind). spacious, well-maintained villa, and friendly, responsive staff. Food at Suma and Senja was good, and you can catch the shuttle out to the nearby minimarts.We really enjoyed snorkeling off Menjangan Island organised by the resort, with plenty of fish to see on a coral shelf that is shallow on one end with a steep 35m drop-off on the other. Our guide Gede walked (or swam?) our eight-year old through her first snorkeling experience and she thoroughly enjoyed herself.Kayaking in Sumberkima bay at sunset was another memorable experienced.We have wonderful memories of our trip and would love to be back.
The view is incredible
We stayed 2 nights in Uma Villa, the villa is well furnished and designed. The view is incredible, it takes you to a peaceful dimension when the 3 volcanoes and the sunrise light reflect in the infinite pool. It looks more impressive than on the pictures. The 2 restaurants of the complex serve delicious and fancy food. The spa offers really relaxing body treatments with a clear view on the landscape. We definitely recommend this place.
I will want to stay for a whole month when I come back
One of the best Airbnbs where I have stayed. In fact, it may tie for #1. I will want to stay for a whole month when I come back next!! The views - 4 mountains and oceans in one single view, all from the comfort of a private outdoor sitting area that is larger than my living room back home. And a huge private infinity pool overlooking the entire coastline! Sunset dinner on a private island - the most expensive thing we did but it was so worth it!! Words cannot describe. They even brought out a concert grade sound system for us to bring down the house after sundown. The spa - $20 USD for a 1.5 hour treatment that is just as good (if not better) as a massage back in Los Angeles. We got a massage treatment every single day. The people - so nice, thank you for sharing your home and town with us!!! The English was very good and communication over app very smooth and prompt. Somethings to consider - 4 hour drive from airport. Limited restaurant selection, no clubs. AOK with me!
Absolute Perfection
Words cannot describe how amazing our experience was at this villa and at Sumberkima Hill. As I travel quite a bit, I’ve stayed at some magnificent places around the world, but rare few can compete with the beauty, peacefulness and graciousness of the staff at Sumberkima. Villa Uma is perfection. It’s placement within Sumberkima affords spectacular sunrise views with the Salah in the background and a rooftop bed to watch the world wake. The pool was where we spent most of our days and some nights watching the stars. The restaurants are wonderful offering room service and a selection of tradition Indonesian and Western food. The spa and private yoga classes were exceptional. I’m now looking to become an owner as our stay at Villa Uma was a 10/10. Pure paradise. See you again soon Uma.
